The term includes impairments caused by:

• congenital anomaly (e.g., clubfoot, absence of some member);

• disease (e.g., poliomyelitis, bone tuberculosis);

• other causes (e.g., cerebral palsy, amputation, & fractures or burns that cause contractures).
