Clarify Our Capacity to Complete Our Surrogate Parent Training:
We blend live meetings with online discussions to enable our trainees to learn at their convenience.
We have prototyped these methods since 2006 for multiple classes at The University of Akron.
Adjunct professors from The University of Akron Department of Special Education and Kent State Department of Special Education will present during the live meetings and help develop our content.
Dr. Phillip Martucci uses web enhanced classes at The University of Akron.
During our first iteration of this training, we will serve the eighteen school districts in Summit County and other outlying groups. During the second iteration, we will serve the counties surrounding Summit County.
During the third iteration, we can serve Northeast Ohio.
In the meantime, our website delivers content to Ohio and others.
We will capture time and cost data to enable us to scale up our training and provide more training at the lowest possible cost.
Our techniques will be refined to enable us to apply our training networks to other under-served content areas.
For example, other under-served areas are in-service training for both our school district and other school districts.
And, we have a continuing need to train our current people to use new techniques and adapt to the ever newer technology.
